Manufacturing a new Kaplan water turbine for a hydropower plant in Slovenia

Our company has successfully completed the project of manufacturing a brand-new Kaplan water turbine for a customer in Slovenia. The project represents an important step toward increasing the efficiency and reliability of their hydropower plant, while also contributing to the sustainable production of clean energy.

The Kaplan turbine, known for its high efficiency at low heads and variable flow conditions, was designed, manufactured, and fully tailored to the customer’s needs. The entire process – from initial design and material selection to the production of key components, final assembly, and testing – was carried out within our turnkey project model. turnkeyThis means that the customer received a comprehensive, technically refined solution ready for immediate operation.

In addition to the turbine manufacturing itself, we also provided:

• a complete 3D project design,
• all hydromechanical equipment,
• automation and control system,
• installation and final commissioning,
• support in operational optimization.

We proudly emphasize that the project further improves the hydropower plant’s energy efficiency and strengthens the long-term stability of renewable energy production in the region.
